Former Andhra Pradesh assembly Speaker, Kodela Siva Prasada Rao's illustrious Political Career is coming to a sad end mainly due to the Corruption of himself, his son, and daughter. The other day, Tullur Police filed a case on him in the matter relating to taking away furniture belonging to the assembly to his house and his son’s showroom.


Andhra Pradesh Assembly Section Officer, Eswara Rao filed the complaint. A case was filed against Kodela under IPC section 409 and under section 414 against his son Kodela Sivaram, for being in possession of government property and utilizing it in his showroom. The former speaker’s attempts to defend his actions as having stemmed from lack of security for the furniture and his subsequent offer to repay the amount valued by the government earned widespread criticism.


On Friday, assembly officials searched Kodela’s son, Sivaram’s showroom in Guntur, identified and made an inventory of furniture belonging to the assembly. Officials estimated the worth of furniture belonging to the assembly found at Gautam Hero showroom in Guntur owned by Kodela’s son, at rupees one crore.
