Tamil hero Vishal has been on the right track, scoring back to back hits in the form of his detective thriller, Thupparivalan directed by Mysskin last year, and following it up with the cyber thriller Irumbuthirai directed by debutant PS Mithran, released last month.
In particular, Irumbuthirai, co-starring Samantha as a psychiatrist, and Action King Arjun as a dreaded cyber criminal named White Devil, has been his most profitable movie in the last 3 years, as it has grossed more than 30 crores, and has also plans of making a sequel next year with the same team.
On the other hand, the Telugu dubbed version of Irumbuthrai, Abhimanyudu was released last week, and the movie has opened to great reviews and due to the lack of good competition barring Mahanati, Abhimanyudu had a great day 1 of 1.22 crores, and is expected to become Vishal's comeback hit after his initial superhits like Pandem Kodi, Pogaru, and Bharani.
