Actor Vishal, who was last seen in the successful movie Thupparivalan directed by Mysskin, was supposed to have his next release, Irumbuthirai, way back on January 26 itself. However, with numerous movies planned on the same day, the movie's release was delayed to February.
However, since Jiiva's Kee, with a similar concept had also readied for release, and as its producer Michael Rayappan had suffered huge losses in his previous movie AAA with Simbu, Vishal postponed his movie further. And then followed the wretched phase of Tamil cinema, with the strike and no releases till April.
Recently, there was an announcement from the various sources that Irumbuthirai, directed by debutant PS Mithran will at last release on May 11. However, even before there was some joy, today, Vishal has released an official statement stating that May 11 is not the release date, and it was due to some miscommunication that the date was falsely spread.
The industry is looking at this confusion in a humorous way, as Vishal, who is the president of TFPC, and general secretary of Actors association is finding it difficult to schedule the release of his own movie and his own production.
