Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wanted a monthly bulletin on the crime taking place in the State. Speaking at the home guards meeting in Vijayawada, Chandrababu Naidu asked the police to be tough with the criminals. He wanted the police and the home guards to be friendly with the law-abiding citizen but to be tough with the criminals.

The Chief Minister expressed concern over the increasing crime against women. He wanted the police and the 90 lakh members of the self-help groups in the State to focus on providing safety for women. He wanted the police and the SHG women to be vigilant to prevent crime against women. He said that the government would act tough against the perpetrators of crime against women and reiterated that it would be the last day for any person who rapes a woman.


Chandrababu Naidu also raised alarm over the increasing number of accidents because of the drunken drive and over speed. He felt that the parents should keep an eye on the movement of the children, who were over speeding and causing accidents. While pressing for the express road ways in the State, he felt that the better roads are not meant for over speeding and accidents.


The Chief Minister felt that the police should provide social security for the people by keeping an eye on the criminals. The government is committed to prevent any sort of crime or violence. He emphasised the need to end the discrimination against the Dalits and minorities in the State.He wanted the police to prevent the State from becoming another Bihar in crime rate. The crime against women, Dalits and Minorities, the accidental deaths on the roads can be prevented with the initiative of the police department, he said.
