Tamil action hero Vishal has been known to have fans in both Tamil Nadu as well as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and the actor, basically from Andhra, has scored hits in both the languages, right from his initial days when he scored hits with his dubbed flicks Pandem Kodi, Pogaru and Bharani.
After Salute, none of his films fared well in AP/TG, and recently, he gave a roaring success in Tamil with Irumbuthirai, the cyber thriller directed by debutant PS Mithran and co-starring Action King Arjun and Samantha, which was a comeback hit for the actor in Telugu as well, as its Telugu version Abhimanyudu was a blockbuster in AP/TG as well.
Post the success of Irumbuthirai/ Abhimanyudu, Vishal has signed to do a film directed by Lakshman who had earlier directed movies like Romeo Juliet and Bogan, and this movie has been planned to be made simultaneously as a Tamil/ Telugu bilingual, and it has been said that this movie will have a social message. Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in to do the female lead role in this project.
