The television serial Deiva Magal telecast on Sun TV had been a huge success and had propelled the lead actress of the serial Vani Bhojan to fame and recognition. Though prior to the serial she had acted in few serials like Aaha, it was Deiva Magal that got her more fame.
After the success of the serial where she had played a Tahsildar, Vani Bhojan was flooded with numerous offers, and the air hostess turned actress had starred in few other serials besides also becoming the judge of a television game reality show,
Now, the actress has been chosen to play the female lead in a movie titled Kasimedu, directed by debutant Lokesh, and this movie will have her paired with Kalaiyarasan who had been a prominent member of the cast of Pa Ranjith's movies like Madras, Attakathi and Kabali. Kasimedu has music by Arrol Corelli.
