The actor was last seen in the rural entertainer, Seemaraja directed by his Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan director Ponram, and costarring Soori, Samantha, Simran and Napoleon.
The fun-filled massy flick had episodes featuring Siva Karthikeyan in another getup as a Tamil king and that there are episodes in the film set in ancient periods with war sequences on par with Baahubali. But, during a TV interview, the actor said we have done better than Baahubali as they had an only minimal budget. He sarcastically trolled Baahubali and faced criticism too.
