Pakistan sources stated that Pakistani actress cum model and singer Meesha Shafi has accused fellow Pakistani artiste Ali Zafar of sexual harassment. Meesha said "She has been subjected to sexual harassment of a physical nature at the hands of a colleague from her industry: Ali Zafar. These incidences did not happen when she was young or just entering the industry".
As per report she said “This happened to her despite the fact that she is an empowered, accomplished woman who is known for speaking her mind and this happened to her as a mother of two children". Meanwhile she also wrote that she chose to share about the incident because “She believes that by speaking out about her own experience of sexual harassment, she will break the culture of silence that permeates through our society".
She added in the wake of sexual harassment
incidents happening across the globe that “It is not easy to speak out but it
is harder to stay silent and her conscience will not allow it anymore".
Moreover Ali, who has also worked in Bollywood films like “Dear Zindagi” and
“Kill Dil”, is yet to respond to the allegations.
