Yeddyurappa is clearly short of 8 MLA's and he faces an uphill task in the floor test hurdle. The BJP currently has 104 MLA's in the house which has an effective strength of 222. However, Yeddyurappa said he would discuss with the Chief Secretary and call the Assembly Session and all other procedures will follow.

Some sources say that Congress and JD(S) MLA's will back the BJP Government at the last minute. However, we will know the fate of the Government which will rule the state in less than 24 hours. Meanwhile, Congress and JD (S) have poached the MLA's and have kept them out of radar.
