Sri Lanka's former Captain Arjuna Ranatunga made sudden remarks on their Nation's 2011 World Cup defeat and he claimed they were involved in fixing. Arjuna Ranatunga is currently the Country's Petroleum Minister said the finals was Fixed!
But Sri Lanka Cricket Board Chief Mr.Sumathipala said Ranatunga's conduct could also be questioned when he failed to defend the World Cup in 1999 where Sri Lanka lost in an embarrassing manner. He said, "Ranatunga couldn't even take the team to finals in 1999. In fact, we were out of the first round itself.
So can we question his moral conduct and label he has fixed?". It should be noted that Sumathipala and Ranatunga are political arch—rivals and the corruption allegations are regularly part of their fight.
