Maharashtra government employees to go on strike!

Despite the announcement from Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis that the government will be implementing the seventh pay commission recommendations by 2019 to benefit the employees, the Employee associations had demanded the government to implement the same for Diwali. The sector expected to join the strike include employees of Municipal corporations, Zilla Parishads, Mantralaya, Teaching and Nonteaching staff of educational institutions.

The people of the state will be facing issues as the schools and colleges will not be functioning, besides the government offices. In an earlier meeting, the government had promised to implement the seventh pay commission benefits around Diwali, but the recent change of statement that only the arrears would be given for Diwali and the payscale conversion will happen in 2019, has made the employees take the strong decision.
