As per the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, World Milk Day is celebrated on the 1st of June every year. So, on this special day let's see the importance of milk which we take every day. As per reports, around 300 Million animals are used in the Indian Dairy Industry.

This is according to the 2012 Livestock census report. Milk is always the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals before they can digest other food. But humans take dairy products on a regular basis on various forms as it is essential for the growth.


But the shocking fact is Animal (cow) milk is not the healthy one. This is because most of them are injected with Oxytocin to increase the milk count and this will result in bacteria. The Growth hormones in milk can also lead to obesity. Plant-based milks have more or equal calcium, protein, sodium and potassium compared to cow’s milk.
