As minister Jayakumar and DMK senior member Duraimurugan made fun by teasing Minister Sellur Raju, the whole assembly session turned out to be a fun filled one with all the members laughing their hearts out. Though it has been a common practice for the ruling government to always blame the opposition party, in recent times, the counter attacks by the opposition has made the whole assembly break into nonstop laughter.
Especially in the current session of the assembly, everyday has been a fun with Duraimurugan and Jayakumar indulging in a war of words ending on a funny note. Yesterday, there was a discussion regarding the subsidy for the cooperative department. Minister Sellur Raju had been accompanied by his wife for the session, as he was the one who had to read out the subsidy plans. As he started reading it, he was making the speech very louder than usual.
Following his speech, as opposition
deputy leader Duraimurugan spoke, he said that hearing Sellur Raju's words, his
wife is like a cat at home, and she's like a tiger here at the assembly.
Interrupting this, minister Jayakumar had said that, looking at Sellur Raju's
wife's respect for him, he feels like singing the Tamil song Maadathile kanni
Maadathile. Besides, he went on to add that Sellur Raju has been a role model
for husbands, and he treats his wife as god, and hearing this words from
Jayakumar, everyone including Sellur Raju, present in the assembly burst into
laughter.
